Rebranded: Roller Hockey Canada
Dauphin, MB — National Inline Hockey Association – Canada, the national governing body for the sport of inline/roller hockey as recognized by Hockey Canada and the International Ice Hockey Federation , announced today the organization will begin operating under a new trade name and will be known as Roller Hockey Canada (RHC) effective immediately.
Although the name has been updated, the organization remains the same with Board of Directors and staff unchanged and no interruption to operations.
“We are proud to announce this change in our branding. Our focus with this change was to create clarity for the general public as to what our organization does and who we represent whenever they see our logo or hear our association name," said Scott Hill, RHC President.
“We are very excited about the introduction of our new name. We believe Roller Hockey Canada simplifies our brand and makes it easier for members and non-members alike to quickly understand who we are and what we do. It allows us to better support roller hockey players throughout our country and we look forward to seeing it on their jerseys, hats and clothing as they represent this great game we all love," added Hill.
Executive Director, Nathan Fleck said, “This rebranding aligns our association with other National Sport Associations and creates consistency in how all NSA’s are recognized by their brands- simple but effective.”
"We have had our existing look since 2007 and are very proud of how that mark has been embraced locally, nationally and internationally. Our name has been in place since the organization was founded in 2001 by Hockey Alberta and Winnipeg Minor Hockey, and was important in creating stability while the organization grew," Fleck continued. "Our Board of Directors felt that this was a great time to update the name to reflect the trend of National Sport Organizations to simplify their branding to be more recognizable in today's often crowded sporting environment."
